Task & Responsibilities:
Evaluate invention disclosures to determine patentability and optimal protection strategies.
Oversee growth and quality of patent portfolio
Drive the creation of IP with R&D, assess innovations and recommend suitable IP protection aligned with the strategy
Ensure Freedom to Operate (FtO) by Conducting FTO analyses and actions
Maintain and improve collaboration with external IP partners
Promote IP awareness and networking within the organization
Track rival IP activities to inform strategy
Requirements:
Master’s degree in technical studies (preferably with mechanical, electrical or physics background); Patent attorney or experienced patent attorney candidate or equivalent education in intellectual property
Several years of professional experience in international patent prosecution in Europe, the United States and China, in either industry and/or private practice
Fluency in English
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Profound IP knowledge and keen technical interest A goal-oriented individual with a drive for results and a passion for innovation; Well-developed communication and relationship building skills, especially with your internal stakeholders.
Willingness to travel for ~25% of working time
