SAP Consultant Basis

Job Description SAP Basis Consultant

 
  • SAP Basis System Administration in a Hybrid System Landscape (SAP Public and Private Cloud, SAP ECC, BTP): daily monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of all SAP systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a stable, scalable, and future-ready SAP environment, coordinating with implementation partners for cross-module projects.
  • Managing the roles and autorizations, user onboarding and offboarding, monitor license consumption
  • Execute and monitor release/transport management.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute updates and patch implementations (including release changes, system and client copies, support packages, and kernel updates) in collaboration with external service providers.
  • Analyze SAP releases and proactively suggest new functions and solutions to improve business processes, introducing them in designated committees
  • Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests
  • Management of hardware such as printers and scanners
  • Coordinate and manage external service providers (SAP, hosting partners)
  • Continuously optimize operational workflows and system documentation
  • Contribute to various IT/SAP projects, such as system rollouts

 

Requirements

 
  1. Fluent Business English
  2. Several years of experience working in a similar SAP Basis role
  3. Experience in a hybrid system landscape (Public and Private Cloud, BTP)
  4. Excellent understanding and experience working with user management in SAP, roles, authorizations, FUE concept
  5. Experience in optimizing SAP license consumption
  6. Ability to handle incidents, service requests, and change requests efficiently and independently
  7. Experience with compliance guidelines and audit conformity
  8. Understanding of basic integration concepts and experience in managing interfaces, idocs, RFC, API, EventMesh
  9. Basic knowledge of other SAP modules
  10. Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM would be advantageous
  11. Experience in coordinating and managing external service providers
  12. Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented working style
