For our location in Pune, India we are looking for an experienced personality as a Senior Software Developer You will be working on the DiIT Products enabling digitalization of Wire Harness Production. As part of the team, you will work on the new generation of our software for production control in our customers' factories. We work together in small, agile teams and rely on modern technologies, frameworks and tools.
Your remit You will join our Connectivity team and work on a scalable platform that manages digital twins of production machines and acts as a mediation layer between the digital and physical world. You will work within existing system concepts and evolved architectures as well as in new greenfield areas. Today our solutions still run on-premises at our customers' sites, but the path to the cloud is underway. Direct machine integration is not your focus – you develop the application layer that encapsulates connections to physical machines, routes requests, and reliably delivers responses back to requesting systems. Your profile
• 6+ years of backend development (develop and evolve scalable microservices) experience with C# / .NET.
• Work with an existing digital twin concept – extend, maintain, and improve the implementation.
• Implement routing logic for bidirectional communication between the application and machine connections.
• Apply Akka.NET (Actor Model) for concurrent, fault-tolerant system components.
• Operate and evolve the platform in on-premises environments while contributing to the cloud migration.
• Collaborate closely with the Software Architect and the team responsible for direct machine connectivity.
• Code reviews and technical documentation. Technical Skills Must Have
• Industrial communication protocols like OPC UA, MQTT etc.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• Experience with Docker container deployment and management.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration and scaling.
• Experience with on-premises deployments and knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Proven ability to work in and evolve existing codebases and architectures.
• Async & event-driven communication (message queues, event streaming).
Good To Have
• Experience with digital twin concepts and platforms
• Experience with Akka.NET or comparable actor-model frameworks.
• Kubernetes / container orchestration
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS / Event Sourcing
