SAP Basis Specialist

Your remit

• SAP Basis System Administration in a Hybrid System Landscape (SAP Public and Private Cloud, SAP R3)
• Daily monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of all SAP systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a stable, scalable, and future-ready SAP environment, coordinating with implementation partners for cross-module projects.
• Execute and monitor release/transport management.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute updates and patch implementations (including release changes, system and client copies, support packages, and kernel updates) in collaboration with external service providers.
• Analyse SAP releases and proactively suggest new functions and solutions to improve business processes, introducing them in designated committees
• Managing the roles and authorizations, user onboarding and offboarding, monitor license consumption
• Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests.
• Management of hardware such as printers and scanners.
• Coordinate and manage external service providers (e.g., hosting partners).
• Continuously optimize operational workflows and system documentation.
• Contribute to various IT/SAP projects, such as system rollouts

Your profile

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar SAP Basis role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in coordinating and managing external service providers

Technical Skills

Must have:

• SAP Basis
• Experience in hybrid system landscape (Public and Private Cloud / R3)
• Excellent understanding of SAP roles & authorizations concepts
• Experience in optimizing SAP license consumption
• Basic knowledge of other SAP modules.
• Experience with compliance guidelines and audit conformity
• Ability to handle incidents, service requests, and change requests efficiently and independently

Additional Skills (plus)

• SAP Cloud ALM.
• SAP Migration Cockpit
• Salesforce Certified Platform app builder desired
• Manage and maintain CDS views and SAP Analytics Cloud
