Project Engineering Medical

Job Description

As a Project Engineer in the Medical field, you will collaborate closely with the Solutions Manager to develop and implement tailored solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. You will take ownership of the technical design and realization of these solutions, leading your colleagues to ensure successful project execution. This role involves active participation alongside the service team for on-site installation and implementation of mechatronic systems, supporting both key local accounts and clients operating primarily in Belgium, but also extending to international engagements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative mechatronic solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry standards.
  • Lead technical planning and oversee project progress, coordinating the efforts of engineers and technicians to achieve milestones efficiently.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their requirements, provide expert advice, and foster strong, long-term relationships built on trust and service excellence.
  • Support the on-site deployment and commissioning of systems, working closely with service teams to guarantee smooth installation and functionality in live environments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes and proposing enhancements to engineering processes and tools.

Technical Skills & Competencies

In this role, you will be supported by a team of specialists, yet foundational knowledge or an eagerness to learn key technical domains is essential for success.

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SolidWorks or strong interest in mastering this 3D CAD software for mechanical design.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Eplan software for electrical design and documentation.
  • Understanding of electronics principles is a valuable asset, aiding integration of electronic components within systems.
  • Knowledge of optical systems or optics concepts is considered a plus, enhancing multidisciplinary engineering capabilities.
  • Experience or interest in software programming, contributing to system automation and performance optimization.
