Material Lead

 

Job Description - 

  • Provide daily directions to materials team to maintain flow and execution of shipping/receiving operations
  • 80% working position supporting/responsible for shipments, receiving, and inventory management
  • Hold a daily meeting to review safety items, schedule, and materials metrics
  • Support inventory accuracy through upholding standard process and implementing targeted cycle counts.
  • Optimization of inventory locations and floor space.
  • Manage red tag area – work with suppliers to return and correct defective material.
  • Support maintaining shop cleanliness and organization standards.

Education - 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

Work experience - 

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role

 

Requirements 

  • Good oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Prolonged standing, bending and sitting are all required
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Microsoft office suite
  • ERP knowledge is a plus
  • Spanish is a plus, but not required
