We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join our team. This critical role ensures the efficient control of all materials entering our facility, overseeing their receipt, inspection, and distribution with a high degree of accuracy and care. The Material Coordinator plays a vital part in supporting smooth operations by also assisting with shipping and order fulfillment activities, fostering a seamless supply chain process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process all incoming materials by accurately counting, verifying item descriptions, reviewing related documentation such as Packing Slips and Purchase Orders, and assuring the quality standards of materials received are upheld.
- Complete all necessary receiving documentation in a timely and precise manner, ensuring information is forwarded to the appropriate personnel for further processing.
- Properly identify and label all received materials to maintain clear and organized inventory management.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries regarding the receipt and status of materials, providing clarity and supporting internal departments.
- Manage Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) to ensure accurate tracking and resolution.
- Contribute to order fulfillment and shipping tasks daily, dedicating approximately 30% of work time post-receiving duties to support timely outbound logistics.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required, ensuring safe handling of larger items; candidates will be expected to obtain and maintain relevant safety certifications.
- Serve as a reliable backup resource for other warehouse and logistics functions, including Stockroom management, Inspection, Order Fulfillment, and Shipping, embodying flexibility and teamwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and willingness to support company needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in related fields such as inventory management, purchasing, receiving, inspection, and shipping, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of supply chain processes.
- Proficient basic computer skills to accurately document and track materials and communicate effectively within digital systems.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that enable clear correspondence and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality control and accuracy in handling materials and documentation.
- Ability and willingness to obtain forklift operation certification and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
