Pay range and compensation package 

Compensation: $70,000 – $110,000/annually, based on industry experience, plus bonus opportunity.

Project Manager, HM

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate HM project opportunities and process requests for budgetary/ formalized quotes during the sales phase from internal and external customers. 

  • Coordinate receiving of samples, feasibility test requests, information, technical questions, ORT (order review team) meetings from internal and external sources. 

  • Perform and document customer sample material evaluation and feasibility tests. Maintain organization of in-house customer samples 

  • Support clarification of different technical issues/questions (for both pre-sale and post-sale) in coordination with manufacturing, engineering, and sales. 

  • Manage HM projects using industry best practices, techniques, and standards to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are involved as needed during the project life cycle. 

  • Monitor the progress of projects and adjust as needed. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement. For larger projects, regular project controlling and final analysis after completion of the project will be required. 

  • Document issues found on wire processing equipment and coordinate between departments to get issues resolved. 

  • Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)/ Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with customers. 

  • Provide feedback for reporting to the management team: margins, schedule, issues, etc. 

  • Provide product specific training and product support for sales team 

  • Perform customer demonstrations, trade show set-up/tear-down, visit customers, and other sales duties as required 

  • Support Wire2go and Data2wire programs as required 

  • Perform other tasks as requested 

 

Education:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.  

 

Work Experience:

  • >3 years' experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
  • >3 years' experience in Project Management and inside sales 

 

Preferred experience:

>3 years' experience in cross functional leading teams 

Experience working with custom applications

 

Expertise and methodology:

    • Personal computer experience, preferably in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
    • Other languages, a plus
    • Project management certification (e.g., IPMA or PMI) (preferred)
    • Must be able to read and comprehend mechanical assembly drawings, pneumatic/electrical schematics, and drawings
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, knowledge of design, and best practices.
    • Strong understanding of time management. Approach tasks with organization, prioritization, and urgency

 

Other Requirements:

    • Good knowledge of metric measuring system
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Willingness to work in a global/local team.
    • Willingness to travel for ~10% of working time.
