Pay range and compensation package 

Compensation: $20-25/hour, based on industry experience, plus bonus opportunity.

Material Handler

Job Duties - 

 

  • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, packing, crating, and loading
  • Hand-building pallets
  • Responsible for maintaining the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping
  • Use proper materials for the job (pallet, box) when packing material
  • Remove pallets and shipping materials from receiving area to recycle bins
  • Pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
  • Put away materials and supplies in stock

  • Perform at a high level on the Komax objectives program
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as stated in the quality system documentation manual, the safety manual, and the employee handbook

 

Education 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

Work experience

  • 1-2 years’ warehouse material handler experience, including forklift operation, preferred but not required

 

Requirements - 

  • Proficient with a variety of manual and power tools
  • Basic math skills and ability to follow step-by-step procedures
  • Microsoft Office
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Occasional overtime
  • Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping as the product is moved
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to drive and operate a forklift
  • Good manual dexterity
